The charitable organization recently announced the BAFTA 2021 Games Awards nominees with a list of familiar and new video games in each of its categories. Some of the titles that have been nominated for several categories include popular games such as The Last of Us Part 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Fall Guys, Dreams, Hades, and various others. These are but several of the many games nominated for the BAFTA 2021 Games Awards.

The BAFTA 2021 Games Awards have a total of 18 categories, including Best Game, British Game, Game Design, Multiplayer Game, Music, Narrative, EE Game of the Year, and more. The contenders for Best Game Award include Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Ghost of Tsushima, Hades, Half-Life: Alyx, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and The Last of Us Part 2. While there’s plenty of competition, The Last of Us Part 2 won Game of the Year in the 2020 Game Awards and it seems could do so again.
Throughout the categories, The Last of Us Part 2 has been nominated for 13 categories in the BAFTA 2021 Awards. This includes Animation, Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, Game Beyond Entertainment, Game Design, and Music. Along with award nominations for Performer in Leading Role, Performer in a Supporting Role, Technical Achievement, and EE Game of the Year. However, the game does have strong competition from several other nominees in multiple categories.
Some of the other contenders are games such as Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima, the breakout hit Hades, the game creator Dreams, and the popular multiplayer game Fall Guys. Each game is a fellow nominee in most of the other categories shared with The Last of Us Part 2 alongside other games. Some of which include Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and even Animal Crossings: New Horizons in several other categories.
In the meantime, public voting for the nominated titles for EE Game of the Year is now open and will close on Monday, March 22, 2021. The nominees for EE Game of the Year include Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Call of Duty: Warzone, Hades, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part 2, and Valorant. The BAFTA 2021 Games Awards ceremony will start three days later on Thursday, March 25. The event itself will be streamed exclusively online for viewers to watch.
