It looks as if fans now have their wish, but it has come at a mighty cost. Truly Exquisite, a UK-based luxury customizing brand has announced that it is designing its own bespoke PlayStation 5 consoles and they sound expensive.

There are three different finishes to chooses from - 24K gold, platinum, and 18K rose gold. Alongside them, they will also be making matching PS5 controllers and headsets. They’re obviously not available yet, with the website recommending that those interested register their interest so as to be the first to receive information about pre-orders and distribution.

Chances are that they will release at the same time as the PS5 does or afterwards, though when that will be is anyone’s guess as Sony hasn’t shared the release date for the PS5 yet. However, Sony has said that the PS5 will come out by the end of the year in time for Christmas. One rumor claims that it will release in November.

It should also be noted as well that Truly Exquisite doesn’t appear to have struck a deal with Sony to make these bespoke consoles and is doing it independently. While there’s no price yet, these are bound to be too expensive for some and are already estimated to be somewhere within the thousands of British pounds.

Those eager for a PlayStation 5 that isn’t white are probably better off waiting for alternatives from Sony itself to be announced, as owning a gold-plated PS5 seems purely something to brag about and offers no real advantages over other versions.

While Sony hasn’t revealed anything yet, it’s likely only a matter of time before alternate color schemes are revealed. Sony itself has teased the possibility in regards to the DualSense controller and one black and red design for the console has been making the rounds after being discovered on some official promotion material.

The PlayStation 5 is scheduled to release by the end of the year.
